Materials
Mineral plaster, raw limestone, blackened steel
The brief
Bring a family room together around a fireplace, with storage that doesn't feel like storage.
The approach
The chimney breast is shaped in mineral plaster and runs into a single rough slab of limestone that doubles as a long shelf.
Thin blackened steel shelves float on the wall beside it, and rounded seating keeps the room soft against the stone.
